About Us

RICS Chartered Surveyor

Helping you buy your home

Ashley is an MRICS Chartered Surveyor with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree (BSc (Hons)) in Building Surveying from UWE.

He has some 25 years surveying experience and extensive knowledge in surveying and valuing a wide range of residential property for both  individuals and commercial clients.

The RICS Home Survey - Level 2

The Level 2 report focuses on any urgent or significant defects that may affect the value of the property and will help you to make an informed decision on whether to proceed with the purchase.  It is an easy to read document produced following a detailed visual survey of the property you are hoping to purchase.  The report will provide an account of the property's condition and will highlight any significant problems with straightforward 'traffic light' ratings.

An older roof without an underfelt.

Air Source Heat Pump

This is an Air Source Heat Pump which provides heat and hot water to a home instead of a gas boiler.

Sprayed foam

This is foam sprayed under the old slates internally. It is not advisable as it traps moisture in the timbers of the roof and can cause them to decay.

Lintel

This angle corbel is made of reinforced concrete and the steel bars within it have rusted causing the concrete to fail.

Japanese Knotweed

This is Japanese Knotweed, a non native invasive plant which can cause issues with your home and make getting a mortgage problematic.

Brick

A fine example of Flemish Bond brickwork. This older wall structure is a solid wall, meaning it has no cavity within it.
